Former Super Captain, John Mikel Obi has been offered a one and half year contract by Brazilian Serie A club Botafogo worth $2m

Botafogo have kept an eye on Mikel Obi since he had an out burst on social media with his former Turkish side Trabzonspor over the safety of players owing to the Coronavirus pandemic that has ravage the world since it broke out last year in Wuhan China.

The former Chelsea player will become Botafogo player in the coming days under a free agent since he parted ways with Turkish club, trabzonspor.

The deal to Botafogo will see the former Super Eagles captain and former Chelsea player earns $400,000 more than what he got from the Turkish club, Trabzonspor.

Botafogo wants to reclaim her position as best Brazilian club and has recruited another called Honda, a Japanese national. Mikel Obi had earlier played in English top flight, Turkish league, English Championship, Nigeria Premier League among others.
