Ajax playmaker, Hakim Ziyech has been named player of the season for the third straight year in a row.

The Moroccan international has been a source of inspiration to the team having won the league for the club in two straight year and on the verge of winning the third League trophy in a row before the league was aborted two months ago.

Ajax has been a dominant club in the Dutch Eredivisie for more than a decade having won the prestigious Champions League in 1995.

Hakim Ziyech is now on his way to the Stamford bridge club, Chelsea having played most of his career games in the Dutch League.

Ziyech was part of the team that reached African Cup of Nation(AFCON) semi finals in 2019 before they were dumped out of the tournament by Senegal before Algeria finally lift the trophy after 29 years.

Ziyech will join the likes of De Ligt and others that left the Dutch Champions after a terrible season in 2018/19 Champions League semi-final against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Ajax was on the verge of clamming the Dutch League for the third term before the Eredivisie management cancelled the league owing to the crisis rocking the world.

Ajax was on the top of the league with goals difference between them and AZ Alkamar.
