Covid-19: FG To Commence School Classes Exams On Radio, TV

As a result of the closure of schools due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has has struck and did damage to the nation, the Federal Ministry of Education Authority have met with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria(FRCN) to find a modalities for the commencement of Nationwide School Radio and Television classes.
The program is aimed at making the students who have been on holiday since the lockdown to learn from home so that they won’t remain idle till schools re-open.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu while speaking with News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) on Friday the program which will be run concurrently in all States of the federation mean that whatever they are taking in one state will also be relaying in other states.
The Program according to PUNCH NEWS PAPER said it may commence by May if the the modalities for the process, purchase and procurement of the transmitter can we widened up by the Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission.
The Minister went further to states that the classes on air will be followed by timetable and examination shall also be conducted in the process. The government of President Buhari plans to sustain audio-visual classes even after Coronavirus pandemic.
The program will run from morning to night everyday covering all subjects including English, Mathematics, Literature in English, Government, Physics, Chemistry, Financial Account, Commerce, Economics, Biology, Yoruba among others.
The program will allow Students to register online to take examination and it will also help to reduce out-of-school children in the country.
