COVID-19: Mikel Obi Distributes 1,800 Crates Of Eggs To Poor Nigerians

As part of his effort in helping and supporting the vulnerable Nigerians due to the lockdown sit at home over the Coronavirus pandemic that has been ravaging the country since February when Nigeria recorded her first case, the Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi has distributed 1,800 crates of eggs to the vulnerable households to Nigeria.

The former Chelsea Midfielder said the eggs distribution were carried out by his team who makes the distribution to the doorstep of every household of the poor Nigeria to ease the problem of the lockdown.

Mikel Obi wrote on his verified Instagram page that ‘let try and help one another during the global crisis in anyway possible to ease the pressure the lockdown might bring to the people who may not find their means of survival easily’

As the lockdown continues virtually in all nations of the world, Mikel Obi become the new face of African players to help the poor after Danny Welbeck and Wilfred Zaha has donated whooping sum of cash in Ghana and Ivory coast respectively.

Early this week, former Chelsea and Ivory coast player Didier Drogba offers his Abidjan Hospital as Isolation Centre too for the Coronavirus in Ivory coast.

Nigeria has recoded a total cases of 495 with 95 discharged and 14 death from the deadly virus that has caused more than 120,000 death globally.
