Covid-19: Provide Relief Materials For Nigerians – Senate President Begs Buhari

Amid the spreading of Coronavirus pandemic in the world which has also hit Nigeria since last week, the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has called on the Federal government to immediately provide relief materials for her citizens as this becomes imperative if their is going to be total lockdown of the nation.

Lawan who made this disclosure when he held a meeting with the leaders of the 9th national assembly and some ministers. He quickly remind the Federal government the importance of total lockdown of the nation to curtail the spread of the deadly virus which has caused alot of damage to the world.

On Monday, the chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari was tested Positive. Kyay was in Germany on March 7 on an official assignment alongside with the minister of power to meet Siemen company over the epileptic power supply in Nigeria.

It was believe that Abba Kyari came in contact with the virus while he was away to far Germany. President Buhari, his vice Prof Yemi Osinbajo and few governors were tested negative to the Coronavirus.

Ahmed Lawan urges the government of president to make provision for funds to procure pharmaceutical needs.

He went further that failure to do the needful may hamper Nigeria and increase the spread of the virus.
