Ekiti Can’t Continue To Depend On Allocation – Segun Oni

Former Governor of Ekiti state and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Segun Oni has said that the state needs a creative leader who has the capacity to diversify, create wealth and ensure prudence management or resources for it rank with its counterparts in the country.
According to him, the current situation whereby a government can not do anything without federal allocation must be disabused, hence efforts must be made to create a chance for leaders with the right innovations and ability to create multiple sources of income.
Segun Oni spoke during the first anniversary of PDP Progressive Family, which is a mobilization arm of the party in Ekiti State
The former governor affirmed that a better conducive environment must be created while government must be ready to engage more youth and key them into entrepreneurship, saying such would ensure improved capital flow and boost the economy.
He blamed the high rate of poverty and unemployment particularly among the youths as a major factor contributing to the rising cases of crime and immoralities in the society hence pragmatic steps must be taken to create more jobs.
Segun Oni called on members of the PDP to continue to mobilize for the party while he urged would-be delegates to put aside their sentiments and place the interest of the party above gratifications.
