El-Rufai Government To Convert Some Day Schools To Boarding

In a bid to reposition the educational sector of the state, the Kaduna State Government has disclosed that it will convert a total of thirteen day – secondary schools into boarding schools.
Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, the state Commissioner for Education disclosed this at the homecoming of the 1981 Set of Kufena College Zaria, now Science Secondary School Kufena held at the College Hall in Wusasa. rubi
Shehu Muhammad said the project is aimed at providing quality education in all the public schools in the state.
The Commissioner, a member of the set revealed that the Government is doing a lot to see that the education system regains its lost glory in Public Schools.
“30 boarding schools will be renovated completely alongside with teaching facilities and Science apparatus for effective teaching and learning”, Shehu said.
He disclosed that the state government is to make a total renovation of 2 schools from each political zone. AdvertisementAdvertisement
The Commissioner called on the stakeholders in education to join Government by investing in education.
According to him, “Between now and December, one school will be renovated completely in each zone”.
The Old Boys, at the homecoming meeting of 1981 Set, who resolved to renovate the Students Dining Hall to the best standard, also promised to do everything humanly possible to support the school as a payback while a School Needs Assessment Committee and Welfare Committee has been raised as a way of complementing their plans for the school.
