N-Power: Beneficiaries Threaten Nationwide Strike

The beneficiaries of one of the Social Investment Program(SIP), N-Power, have threatened to embark on Nationwide strike over non payment of their January stipends.

The beneficiaries who were divided into N-Teach, N-Health and N-agro have been crying and raising alarm since January over the delay and non payment of their N30,000 stidend.

The beneficiaries alleged the Minister of Humanitarian and Natural disaster, Mrs Farouq Umar Sadiya, of subjecting them to serious hardship since the program was moved from the office of vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

N-Power beneficiaries also said the same issue were witnessed last year October and it took them three months before they could get paid.

They threatened to stop going to there place of primary assignment and embark on total strike Nationwide.

N-Power was introduced in 2016 with total beneficiaries of 500,000. It is program designed to cater for the unemployed graduates in the country
