N-Power Finally Speaks On Change Of Stipends Payment Platform To ‘FEDER’

The Government of President Buhari has finally laid down his apology to Beneficiaries of N-Power under the National Social Investment Program (NSIP) over the delay in March Stipends and over the change in payment platform that was changed with new incription of ‘Federal Government of Nigeria FGN – FEDER’ as contained in the credit alert to Beneficiaries as Received in March.
According to a statement released by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation, Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede through his verified Twitter account, he said the presidency apologize to the delay in Payment of March Stipends and one of the reasons for the delay is the change in the payment platform for the payment in order to harmonize Government payroll for effective and efficient disbursement of salariesto federal government employees and stipends to federal government social investment beneficiaries.
Mr Afolabi went further to state that the change in payment platform was Responsible for the new inscription of ‘Federal Government of Nigeria – FGN – FEDER’ contained in the alert Received by the Beneficiaries of Social Investment Program in the March stipends and that the new platform will be on going forward.
Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede said some beneficiaries we’re also said not to have received alert while some who have exited and resigned also got alert. He said the Ministry in charge is working with relevant stakeholders together with every Account to harmonize things.
Recall that N-Power Program was introduced in 2016 under the Nigeria Social Investment Program (NSIP) under the management of Vice President’s office but it was later moved to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Investment in 2019 under Sadiya Farouq and since then the beneficiaries have been receiving late stipends.
