N-Power: Minister Explains Delay In February Stipends

The Minister of Humanitarian and Natural disaster, Ms Farouq Umar Sadiya, has on March 2, 2020, explained why the stipends of the N-Power Beneficiaries has been delayed in recent times.

Ms Farouq said the delay in the beneficiaries is as a result of the data she is collating to know that exact numbers of beneficiaries they are paying before she took over the program last year October.

N-power is one of president Buhari national security investment programs (N-SIP) that is catering for unemployed graduates, aged men and women and also the feeding program in Nigeria primary schools.

The beneficiaries under the program are about 500,000. The first set came on board in the year 2016 with 200,000 Nigerians in the cut and in year 2017, around 300,000 Nigerians were also absorb to take the total to 500,000.

The beneficiaries we’re group into N-TEACH, N-TECH, N-agro, N-Health to take care of educational sector, software , agricultural sector and health sector of the economy respectively.
