PDP South West Congress: Makinde Looks Quiet But He’s Deadly – Fayose

Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, says the leader of the transport union in Oyo state led thugs to the venue of the recently conducted southwest congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun state looking for his head.

Fayose disclosed this why featuring as a guest on Channels TV on Wednesday, April 14. He alleged that the transport union leader and other thugs went to the venue in a convoy of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, adding that they had earlier attacked him in Ondo.

The PDP chieftain said if Governor Makinde is parading characters like the transport union leader, it shows the kind of people behind him.

Fayose said: “Governor Makinde, he looks quiet but deadly.”

The PDP leader added that exhibiting thuggery is shameful for the PDP as a party. He further alleged irregularities in the election, describing the exercise as a scam.

Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) held its zonal congress on Monday, April 12 where the candidate backed by the camp of Governor Makinde, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, emerged as the party’s new southwest zonal chairman.

Arapaja, a former deputy governor in Oyo state polled 343 votes to defeat Dr Eddy Olafeso, a loyalist to ex-Governor Fayose who scored 330
