UEFA: Portuguese Clubs Set Bad Record In Europa Round Of 16

It was horrible night for the Portuguese Clubs in the European games on Wednesday and Thursday as all the teams that represented the Portugal were crashed out of the elite Europe competition.

The negative story began with Braga on Wednesday as they were dumped out by the Scottish side managed by ex-liverpool midfielder, Steven Gerard. Rangers outclassed Braga in Portugal to seal progression into round of 16.

As if the the Portuguese teams were cursed, Benfica were also knocked out of the competition by Ukrainian team, Shaktar Donestk on 4 to 5 goals aggregate.

The same story goes to Porto who were also dumped out by Bayern Leverkusen after losing at home to the German side with on goal to three and crashed out on 2-5 aggregate.

The last of the victim is Sporting CP who lost to Turkish side, Istanbul on their trip to the Turkish capital city with four goals to one.
